Dr. Dehay interviewed by « Le Monde »

Dr. Benjamin Dehay was interviewed by the newspaper « Le Monde » to comment on the 2016 Medicine Nobel Prize awarded to the Japanese Pr. Yoshinori Ohsumi for his work on the Autophagy.

Autophagy is a biological process used by the cell to be healthy. Autophagy allows the elimination of waste present inside the cell (pathogenic macromolecules / damaged organelles) and recycling. Many diseases are associated with dysfunction of autophagy, such as neurodegenerative diseases (eg allowing the accumulation of protein aggregates), cancer, or cardiovascular disease, autoimmune or infectious.
