Clinical research

The Institute of Neurodegenerative Diseases gathers the vital forces of clinical (IMNc), preclinical and fundamental research in the field of neurodegenerative diseases. Since April 2014, the ambulatory activity (including the Parkison Expert Center and Memory Center of Research and Resources, CMRR) and the clinical research (academic and industrial researches) in the field of neurodegenerative diseases take place in the IMNc.

This institute is headed by Professor Wassilios MEISSNER.

The objectives of the IMNc are to :

  • Promote transfer from fundamental to clinical research of new concepts in Parkinson’s disease and related disorders diagnosis and therapeutics
  • Bridge the gap between clinicians and researchers working in the field of dementia
  • Develop common research projects between Cognition (Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders) and Motor axes (Parkinson’s disease and related disorders)
  • Promote academic research and industry-sponsored therapeutic innovation
